Re my previous blog. Sorry Henry if you see this. Maybe I shouldn’t have spilled the beans but it was so long ago and we were just crazy kids. I am sure you are a very law-abiding, upstanding citizen now. (lol.)
Hi Linda. My brothers Frankie and David had the name Blue because that was their real last name. They were my half brothers. In fact, Frankie and David both had brown eyes but I know the girls were crazy about them because they were so handsome. I am 6 years younger.
franny bruno

Ann & Whitey. I still keep in touch with Louise & Joey Condello.
Jerry Mammolito is a lawyer his office is in bay ridge and Jackie crupe is a principal in staten island. Oh boy remember Daisy she always passed out on her way off the field. LOL! Hope you come to the reunion I’ll look for the old pictures.
Linda Joy…
Can you get in touch with Roe? I’d love to hear from her. Is Laura still married to Boy Boy?
As for my age… I’m gonna be 62 in a few days. Age doesn’t mean much now a days but back then it meant a different crowd.

Hi Stephen Trimboli,
I remember you very well! Glad to hear from you. I lived down the block from you, across the street from the Church (I still do!)
Your mother was always so sweet to me. I’m sorry to hear she is no longer with us. I was always in trouble because I was “loud” and a little bit of a trouble maker, BUT, your Mom was ALWAYS nice to me and made me feel good. She had such a great personality.
I think I remember your sister, Emma. Was she very tall and beautiful? When I was a kid, I always thought she was a model or an actress.
Hi Linda: Do you speak to boy boy? He and my brother David Blue were good friends. If you do speak to him ask him if he still remembers David. His name came up not too long ago.
Stephen,
I’m sorry to hear about your cousin Vinny (I always thought he was so funny).
Is your cousin Angelo still a politician in New Jersey?
Vinny Bonavita,
We were having a BBQ in your backyard one day and Mike’s Ice Cream Truck came by.
You BEGGED your parents for money so you could buy something from Mike, even though we were about to eat. So, being the kind hearted souls that they were, they said ok and you went out to get ice cream.
BUT…….you didn’t buy ice cream, you bought a HOT DOG! Your father was standing there cooking hot dogs and and you walked in with one! The look on his face was priceless. You were a CRAZY kid, but we loved you!
PINKY,
Are you coming to the reunion? I would love to see you. It took some time to remember you, but now I have your face in my mind.
Email me at : [email protected] if you are coming.
Hey SAL. Nobody on this blog remembers a guy namedCHAMPY,Do you remember him or am I crazy.I think he sang pretty good. MIKE.
Mike,,,
Yes there was a Champy who lived on 21st street next to the church but he was part of our crowd when we were kids.
Sal
Sally Ears, I’m still trying to figure out if I can get off work to go to the reunion.
Mike and Sally “ears” I don’t know either of you (at least I don’t think I do) you’re right. Champy is a Biscutti. His Mom and Dad are Frankie and Ann his sister’s name is Elenor. I think they all still live in Brooklyn
Maria…crank up the air!
Tommy Do you remember the day we stuffed Matty Ryan into the trunk of your car and drove around with him locked in there for a long time? I felt so bad for him, but when you finally let him out he was all smiles and said he had a great time. If Daddy only knew how you drove around that day!
Hi all.
R: The shirts were great. I know Annie Goldman is in California and occasionally see her on shows as an extra. I think the Arditos are still in Brooklyn. I forgot where Artie was last. I will ask my sister Marilyn to find out.
I wanted to throw some names out there and wonder if anyone ever see these people: Rosalie Zesare, Mary Ann Graziano, Linda Cuba, Beatrice DeSapio, Guy and Henry Spinnato, Georgie Moser, abd Lucille Nardo.
Just figured I would give it a shot.
VINNY BONAVITA:
WHY ARE YOU IGNORING ME? Where’s my darn “shout out”?
Bob :
Is that your Arlene on here ??? Janet
E V E R Y O N E (who has not emailed me):

OH MY GOD!!! I do remember Edithann staying up watching those crazy horror movies with you. She seemed to be the only one that wasn’t afraid to watch. Those were the days.
Stephen Trimboli
Hello from the Bonavitas. How are you. How many children do you have? Nice to see you logged on. My mother told me about your cousin Vinny. How is Angelo?
Anne Marie Ischia Paladino
Why does that no surprise me that Vinny bought a hot dog while my father was barbequeing. (I love you Vinny!)
Mary Ann
Debbie is going to forward me that pictures you sent. We will figure out who everyone is and let you know.
TERRY ANGELO SHERMAN
Though this Reunion started out small you have brought together so many people and lives that have shared many memories whether special or sad that can never be forgotten. A bond that can never be broken. Your parents would be so happy. I know mine would be. For that I am grateful. I look forward to seeing you.
To Janet Marie Horan,
Read your email for the answer to your question.
Other good rules (I’ve learned from blog):
1) Don’t throw someone in the car trunk and drive around all day.
2) Don’t walk into the rectory, they will enslave you and feed you nothing but soup.
3) Don’t tell everyone how little you paid for anything in the past because the bottom line thought they will have is “My god she’s old”.
Hello JANET HORAN
ROSALIE ZESARE BARBERI and her sister DOLORES, are life-long friends to my sister PHYLLIS BRUNO SCOTTO and me. Rosalie
and Phyllis have been Best Friends for close to 60 Years. My
sister sees Roe frequently; she is a grandmother of two beautiful
boys. I’ll let her know you asked for her. Take Care…..
This blog has taken on so many new faces and has traveled in so many directions that it’s incredible. It has been a while since I’ve contrbuted anything but I have been checkin in now and again. It’s impossible to keep up with all that has gone on. Now, my condolences to the Oliva family on Jeannes passing, I remember her being friends with my sister. This blog has already brought so many people together and I’m sure the re-union will be a HUGE success. I wanna say hi to Lori Angelo. I haven’t seen much of you on here but you were one of the first people here near my age that shared memories of the neighborhood and some of the people that lived and worked there.

Anyone remember dancing in the school yard at PS 10 on summer nites.. My father, Anthony (Tony) Perrotti was the DJ.
Carol Miele-What a coincidence that Rosanne Marino was/is working at Our Lady of Grace. I have been working a few blocks away from there since 1978! Do you remember our club, The Satin Angels? We used to meet alot a Rosanne’s house.
Anyone hear about Patricia Manzione or her younger sister Linda? They lived accross the street from me on 20th st near 5th ave and we were friends until I moved to Marine Park in 1965.

Anybody know the Crosbys from 6th Avenue? Janet
Hi ROSALIND CASTALDO RIZZO…
I know you and Anthony from the neighborhood. Happy to see life has been good to you and your family.
I worked in the factory on 20th Street; BUT it was the one below 4th Ave., and they eventually moved to “industry city” 3rd Ave. 29th St. I worked with Nancy Savarese and Laura Fachner. I did this after school and during a summer. We cleaned the threads off the garments, as you said. And bagged the garments. I also remember we had to march in the Labor Day Parade in NYC for some Union, ‘modeling’ the cloths. I recall it was called Loranne Sportwear.
We got to buy the cloths ‘at cost’ – they were nice and were made for Lord & Taylor. By time we paid for the cloths, we had no paycheck.
I mentioned this experience in one of my original posts. And I also
said that working in a factory as we did – by today’s standards –
would violate the child-labor laws. Thanks for the memory!
Hey Deb I got a black mail pic of u and Gina in your pjs on xmas eve and I’ll be send them to you soon
Rocco Jr: Everyone would speak to you since I am sure we all remember your cute little face when you wee little.
